About the Job

We work with the raw content from our collaborators. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into a powerful, clear, and high-retention visual narrative.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Scriptwriters and other co-workers to transform the raw content into more engaging, high-quality viral videos.

The process involves structuring the raw footage, setting the right pace, and creating a clear, compelling narrative refining the video through multiple iterations to ensure a polished, impactful final product.

As a Sr. Video Editor, your core responsibilities will be:

• Visual Storytelling & Pacing: Contribute a strong, expert-level understanding of visual storytelling. You will identify and assemble the key compelling elements from hours of raw footage, transforming them into professional video masterpieces with a clear narrative flow.
• Pacing for Narration: Master the art of documentary pacing. Your edits must be deliberately structured with the right rhythm and "room to breathe," creating the perfect canvas for the future voiceover script.
• Audio Architecture (Music & SFX): Possess a deep knowledge of how music and sound design affect the final piece. You will select and layer strategic music and sound effects (SFX) to build tension, emphasize key moments, and create an immersive audio-visual experience that amplifies the narrative.
• Collaborative Vision: Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Scriptwriters to bring the initial vision to life. You will iterate and refine the visual cut to ensure it aligns perfectly with the developing script and narrative goals.
• Performance-Driven Editing: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how editing choices directly impact broader business objectives, specifically audience retention. You will edit with a constant focus on what keeps a viewer engaged.
• Digital & Industry Awareness: Maintain a strong awareness of YouTube industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our content remains innovative, competitive, and engaging for the audience.
• Contribute with a strong understanding of visual storytelling and editing principles.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how editing fits into broader business objectives.
• Provide awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our content remains innovative and engaging for the audience.
