Lincoln International is looking for an experienced Vice President to join our Business Services M&A team in Madrid. The role involves managing transactions, building client relationships, and contributing to business development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in executing M&A transactions, extensive finance skills, and a proactive approach to team management. Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.

Formación

  • 7-10 years’ experience in executing Business Services M&A transactions.
  • Ability to connect with potential new clients and lead client meetings.
  • Experience managing teams and leading project work.

Lincoln International is seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Business Services M&A team in Madrid. Successful candidates have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, deep experience in managing transactions end‑to‑end, and a motivation to build a leading M&A advisory firm. This role involves working closely with the firm’s Managing Directors and Directors to build relationships with clients and potential clients, executing mid‑market transactions, and contributing to business development as well as the growth of Associates and Analysts.

Work Environment

We follow a hybrid work structure with an emphasis on in‑office collaboration. Employees work in our office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conceptualise, organise, process and deliver new business presentations;
  • Contribute to transaction process planning and deal structuring conversations;
  • Produce and review transaction marketing materials and complex integrated financial models;
  • Manage Analysts and Associates to ensure timelines are met and quality is maintained;
  • Act as key client point of contact for day‑to‑day queries, discussing deal issues internally and with third parties;
  • Prepare term sheets and review transaction due diligence reports;
  • Train and develop Associates and Analysts at the firm;
  • Contribute to the team and the firm’s marketing efforts and initiatives focused on growing the firm’s franchise value.

Qualifications
  • Extensive track record of executing Business Services M&A transactions, preferably in the mid‑market, with 7–10 years’ experience;
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in seeking and identifying new business opportunities in concert with Managing Directors;
  • Ability to confidently and credibly connect with potential new clients and lead client meetings;
  • Excellent finance, accounting and financial modelling skills, coupled with strong business acumen and the ability to form clear commercial views;
  • Experience successfully managing teams of Associates and Analysts and leading project work;
  • Exceptional, well‑rounded academic background, ideally educated to Masters level in a business‑related subject;
  • Great analytical skills and attention to detail, with a willingness to develop and learn;
  • A proactive and self‑motivated approach, with a commitment to personal and team growth and professional excellence;
  • Adaptability, dependability and the ability to manage a dynamic workload;
  • Clear and engaging verbal and written communication skills, able to relate quickly to clients, management teams and colleagues;
  • Collaborative style and personally engaging manner;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
  • International experiences and perspectives;
  • Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills.
