Brunswick Group’s Madrid office is seeking an Associate to advise clients and drive execution on accounts across corporate, financial and public affairs matters.

You will work with Directors/Partners to deliver high-quality work, develop ideas, and mentor junior teammates while expanding Brunswick’s network and client base in Madrid. This is a fast-paced, international environment requiring strong communication and a global perspective.

Formación

  • Native-level Spanish and fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience advising on corporate, financial and/or M&A situations.
  • Experience in Public Affairs or stakeholder engagement is a plus.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Global perspective and credibility with senior business leaders.

Responsabilidades

  • Advise clients and drive execution on accounts with Directors/Partners support.
  • Understand complex sector issues and media, politics, regulators and NGOs landscapes.
  • Manage media and policy-related interactions with an advanced understanding of stakeholders.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, including M&A and regulatory developments.
  • Drive client workstreams, manage workflow and deliver first drafts of documents.
  • Mentor junior team members and support smooth team transitions.
  • Contribute to new business proposals and engagement letters; participate in pitches.
  • Build and nurture journalist and stakeholder networks to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors to grow Brunswick’s Madrid office offering.

Brunswick’s Madrid office is at an exciting stage of growth, advising leading Spanish and international clients on high-profile corporate, financial and public affairs situations. This role offers the opportunity to join an ambitious and collaborative team at the centre of some of the most strategic reputation and stakeholder challenges in the market.

As an Associate, you will advise clients and drive execution on accounts, focusing on the delivery of workstreams and proactive development of ideas.

You will nurture a wide internal network across offices and specialisms to share, develop and deliver the best examples of work for internal and external use; as well as broadening your external network.

About the Role
  • Advise clients across a range of issues and stakeholder management practices , with the support of Directors/Partners, and drawing on independent experience and insights.
  • Understand complex sector issues and the attitude of media, capital markets , politicians/regulators, NGOs and other stakeholder groups.
  • Manage media and policy‑related interactions, using advanced knowledge of media and other stakeholder landscapes.
  • Support clients on stakeholder engagement matters, including M&A and other financial situations , political, regulatory and policy‑related developments relevant to their business and reputation.
  • Drive execution on client accounts, managing workflow and key elements (e.g. client calls, first drafts of documents etc.).
  • Play a key role in team management and dynamics, including supporting smooth team transitions, and serving as a day‑to‑day mentor to junior team members.
  • Play an active role in drafting new business proposals and letters of engagement, including participating in pitch meetings.
  • Foster a network of journalist and stakeholder contacts and relationships, proactively building a network to identify new business prospects and media contacts.
  • Together with Partners and Directors, proactively drive the strategic growth of Brunswick’s Madrid office offer to clients.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7 – 10 years of relevant experience either working in an advisory role, or consulting experience .
  • A strong understanding of the Spanish media, corporate, political and regulatory landscape, as well as the interplay between these stakeholders, with experience in media‑handling a plus.
  • Experience advising clients on corporate, financial and/or M&A situations.
  • Experience in Public Affairs, policy or stakeholder engagement would be viewed positively.
  • Native‑level Spanish and fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A global perspective and the ability to thrive in an international businesses or organizations.
  • Credible and compelling with senior business leaders.
  • A balance of creative and analytical thinking, bringing rig o r, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proven project and/or program management experience .
  • A natural team worker who prefer s to work in a collegiate way .
