This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly with Vertical Lay System equipment. The position offers a rotational schedule of 35 days on and 35 days off, with full insurance and opportunities for professional development.

Mission

An international offshore company is seeking an experienced professional to ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical production equipment onboard its offshore vessels. The position involves managing the deck mechanic team, developing maintenance plans, and ensuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities for mechanical and production equipment.
  • Lead and train the mechanical team onboard, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Develop maintenance schedules, monitor spare parts inventory, and manage vessel self‑sufficiency.
  • Use corporate software tools to plan, execute, and track maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer and Offshore Construction Manager during project setup and execution.
  • Ensure all equipment is certified, well‑preserved, and properly stored.
  • Report incidents, promote safety awareness, and participate in emergency drills when required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience with Vertical Lay System (VLS) or S‑Lay System equipment.
  • Strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of offshore maintenance and safety procedures.
