Técnicas Reunidas, grupo líder en ingeniería y construcción para petróleo y gas, busca un Value Improvement Engineer en Madrid. El candidato trabajará en reducción de costos y mejoras de valor junto a equipos internacionales, con enfoque en proyectos de energía y descarbonización.

Se valorará experiencia en entornos globales, dominio de inglés y capacidad para coordinar talleres con clientes. Ofrecemos modalidad híbrida con presencia en Madrid y posibilidad de teletrabajo dos días a la semana.

Formación

• Grado en ingeniería.
• 10-15 años de experiencia, al menos 5 en proyectos petroquímicos, refinería, química o generación de energía.
• Experiencia avanzada y capacidad para entender tendencias y oportunidades estratégicas.
• Familiaridad con prácticas de construcción, materiales y equipos; capacidad para trabajar con equipos internacionales.
• Inglés.

Responsabilidades

• Proporcionar apoyo a líderes de proyecto, equipos de ingeniería y construcción para identificar e implementar reducciones de costo o calendario.
• Benchmark de diseño frente a rendimiento histórico, normas de la industria y diseños del cliente para proponer alternativas que cumplan los requisitos.
• Facilitar talleres de valor e identificar oportunidades de mejora de procesos.
• Gestión de comunicaciones o talleres con clientes (si se requieren).
• Preparar propuestas de reducción de costes para proyectos de capital con apoyo de disciplinas técnicas.
• Romper silos y mejorar la comunicación para lograr soluciones en equipo.
• Proporcionar recomendaciones para incorporar en especificaciones y normas corporativas.
• Traducir el alcance del proyecto y las alternativas propuestas en una estimación de CAPEX.

We are looking for a Value Improvement Engineer (mainly as Engineering or Project Management), whose main function will be:

• Provide support to project leaders, engineering and construction teams at the identification and implementation of cost (or schedule) reduction alternatives.
• Benchmark design against historical performance, industry norms and client’s standard designs in order to provide alternative design that MEET but not EXCEED customer requirements.
• Facilitate value workshops and identify and qualify opportunities for process enhancement.
• Managing communications or workshops with Clients (if required)
• Prepare multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for Capital Projects with assistance of project technical disciplines.
• Break down “silos”, improving communications and enable individuals to contribute to a team solution.
• Provide recommendations which would be incorporated in corporate specifications and standards for future.
• Translate the identified project scope and proposed alternatives into an estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement and construction.
• Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
• In coordination with in-house department Estimation support team, collect actual and alternative cost performance. Condition and normalize data for future use, by developing metrics and benchmarking information.
• Keep abreast of significant development in new technics and materials by close review of technical literature, contacts with contractors and attendance at professional and technical meetings.
• Use of In-house procedure and Value Improvement database and ensure database is updated during the execution of the projects involved on.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering discipline
• 10-15 years of experience including at least 5 years devoted to petrochemical, refinery, chemical or power generation projects as senior specialist or project engineer.
• Expertise: You have advanced industry expertise and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities.
• Be familiar with construction practices, materials and equipment. Ability to work with project teams, build relationships with “internal” and external clients to work with international cultures and having international experience is preferable.
• English.
