Senior Accountant – Start Date January 2026
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and timely financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Important:
This position is expected to start in early January 2026. We are beginning the interview process now and are looking for candidates who are available to interview and comfortable with starting in January.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle general accounting, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Record and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare variance analyses and collaborate with internal stakeholders to explain financial results.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with external audits and tax filings, providing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with property accounting, Senior Housing, Real Estate, Hospitality, or Healthcare industries.
- Preferred: Experience using Yardi or similar accounting/property management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Willingness to begin the interview process now and availability to officially start in January 2026.
