TS Sales Iberia - VP Trade Sales Account Manager
Overview
As a TS Sales Iberia VP Trade Sales Account Manager (TSAM) you will hold the end-to-end responsibility for managing a portfolio of Trade clients in the Spanish and Portuguese market. Acting as the primary point of contact you will ensure seamless operational execution and relationship stewardship, driving consistency, scalability and successful delivery of ING’s full Trade Solutions offering.
Key Responsibilities (English)
- End-to-end responsibility for servicing a portfolio of Wholesale Banking Trade clients.
- Grow the income of your portfolio; TS Fee income and Net Interest Income (NII) by leveraging existing relationships.
- Serve as the primary contact for your portfolio of Clients and act as an escalation point for any incident or mismatches in the daily operational tasks and settlements.
- Responsibility for structuring and implementing the operational setup for new Trade transactions, including onboarding of buyers and suppliers and refining the technical interface to ensure smooth automated daily processing.
- Collaborate closely with the ING Hubs to drive operational excellence and ensure consistent high-quality execution across Trade processes.
- Participate in deal teams for new Trade client pitches and contribute to Request for Proposals (RfPs) to increase TS income.
- Proactively conduct client reviews, monitor client revenues and visit clients to discuss program performance, supplier onboarding campaigns or any other Trade related business.
- Ensure appropriate communication with all internal stakeholders.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and writing).
- Ensure compliance with Know Your Client (KYC) guidelines.
- Identify and act upon process improvement opportunities.
Funciones y responsabilidades (Español)
- Responsabilidad de principio a fin en la atención de una cartera de clientes de Trade de Wholesale Banking trabajando estrechamente con nuestro Trade Sales Centre of Expertise Team y nuestro equipo central de Operaciones.
- Incrementar los ingresos de tu cartera respectiva; ingresos por comisiones de TS y Net Interest Income (NII) aprovechando las relaciones existentes.
- Servir como contacto principal para tu cartera de clientes y actuar como punto de escalado ante cualquier incidente o discrepancia en las tareas operativas diarias y liquidaciones.
- Responsabilidad en la estructuración e implementación del setup operativo para nuevas transacciones de Trade incluyendo onboarding de compradores y proveedores refinamiento de la interfaz técnica (formatos) así como del setup operativo para garantizar un procesamiento diario fluido y automatizado.
- Colaborar estrechamente con los ING Hubs para impulsar la excelencia operativa y asegurar una ejecución consistente y de alta calidad en los procesos de Trade.
- Participar en deal teams para presentaciones a nuevos clientes de Trade y contribuir a Request for Proposals (RfPs) para aumentar los ingresos de TS.
- Realizar revisiones proactivas con clientes monitorizar ingresos y visitar clientes para discutir el rendimiento del programa campañas de onboarding de proveedores u otros asuntos relacionados con Trade.
- Asegurar una comunicación adecuada con todas las partes interesadas internas.
- Fluidez en español e inglés (oral y escrito).
- Asegurar el cumplimiento de las directrices de Know Your Client (KYC).
- Identificar y actuar sobre oportunidades de mejora de procesos.
Qualifications (English)
- Proven experience managing complex client relationships across international and multi-market environments with a strong focus on delivering value in Trade Solutions and Transaction Services space.
- Strong commercial drive paired with sound risk awareness, credit judgement, analytical skills and understanding of Wholesale Banking.
- Deep understanding of operational workflows, scalable transaction banking systems and account management best practices including familiarity with ING Wholesale Banking (Trade) infrastructure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across seniority levels and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder alignment.
- Self‑motivated and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, take ownership and work effectively in a deadline‑driven environment.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude eager to learn, share knowledge and contribute to a cohesive and client‑focused team culture.
