Job summary

3Commas seeks a Trader to join the QuantPilot product team on a full-time basis. You will build and stress-test automated trading strategies across crypto, futures, stocks, FX, and more, collaborating with engineers and designers to push the platform beyond its current capabilities.

You bring at least 2 years of systematic trading experience, have built bots or automated setups, and backtest rigorously to guard against overfitting and regime changes.

About QuantPilot

QuantPilot is 3Commas' AI trading copilot: agents that research markets, generate trading strategies, backtest them and iterate on them together with the trader in a chat. We are building it for serious retail traders who want institutional-grade research tools that until now were available mainly to hedge funds and prop desks.

About the role

We are hiring a Trader to join the product team full-time. This is a hands-on trading role for someone who already runs systematic, automated strategies. Your day-to-day is building and stress-testing strategies across crypto, futures, stocks, FX, working directly with the engineers and designers building the tools you use. You are not here to advise or observe. You are here because you trade systematically, you automate, and you can push this platform harder than anyone else.

What you will do

• Research and build automated trading strategies using QuantPilot across crypto (perps and spot), futures, stocks, FX, commodities, etc.

• Backtest strategies across multiple timeframes and market conditions using QuantPilot to find edges that hold up.

• Optimize strategy parameters, risk rules, position sizing and entry/exit logic

• Analyze live and historical performance data in QuantPilot to understand why strategies win or lose.

• Stress-test strategies against drawdowns, volatility spikes, low liquidity and black swan scenarios.

• Work with product and engineering daily to identify gaps in the QuantPilot platform, suggest improvements, and validate new features from a trader's perspective.

What we are looking for

You are a systematic trader with at least 2 years experience doing the following:

• You run automated strategies on either crypto (perps and spot), futures, stocks, FX, commodities, etc..

• You have built bots, scripts or systematic setups for use across many markets

• You build and iterate on strategies as a process. You can explain your edge, the market conditions it targets, and why it breaks down outside those conditions.

• You backtest rigorously before deploying. Overfitting, survivorship bias, look-ahead bias, regime change. These are problems you have dealt with, not concepts you have read about.

• Risk management is built into your systems. Position sizing, stop losses, drawdown limits, exposure caps, correlation checks.

• You have opinions about trading infrastructure. You have used multiple platforms, APIs and execution tools. You know what is slow, what breaks, what is missing.

• Bonus: you trade across multiple asset classes. Crypto, stocks, futures, commodities. Cross-market experience makes your input more valuable here.

• Bonus: you have built your own tools. Custom dashboards, alerting systems, execution scripts, data pipelines. Even rough ones count.

This role is not for

• DeFi yield farmers or liquidity providers.

• Long term holders.

• Discretionary traders with no system behind their trades.

• Manual traders who have never automated anything.
