Job summary

ABB Traction is seeking a Control Software Engineer to strengthen its multi-disciplinary engineering team in Spain. The role involves developing traction application software for vehicles, debugging customer issues on ABB converters, and coordinating solutions with peers to maximize re-use and standardization.

Qualifications

University degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development for closed loop control, signal processing, algorithms, real time programming, commissioning.

Responsibilities

Provide first level support for software problems on ABB converters.
Adapt and extend existing software to address customer needs while respecting standards and homologation requirements.
Test and troubleshoot software in diverse environments and support commissioning and homologation on vehicles.
Travel extensively as needed, including nights/weekends.
