Job description

We are moving towards a sustainable and efficient future in which our habits will have to be much more respectful of our environment. We are entering a journey of no return in which electric mobility will be key to a world without emissions and pollution.

The time has come to connect to a new way of moving.

At Floox we design, develop and manufacture fast and ultra‑fast DC charging points for electric vehicles. Currently our solutions cover ranges from 30kW to 360kW in DC.

Floox was born as a brand of solutions for electric mobility of Premium PSU after a 40 years of experience in power and energy conversion solutions (power supplies, DC/DC converters, inverters, battery chargers and bidirectional converters) in the electric industry, rail transport and high‑tech equipment sectors and has a team of more than 130 people.

We work to revolutionize electric mobility to create a more effective, easier and sustainable world.

The selected candidate will ensure that Floox’s EV chargers are safe, reliable, interoperable and compliant with European and international regulations before they reach the market. They will own the validation and certification process from the first prototypes through to final certification: defining test plans, running and coordinating tests, working with external laboratories and turning results into technical evidence and product improvements.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and execute validation plans, test cases and test reports for EV chargers, covering electrical performance, safety, reliability and interoperability.
  • Lead certification processes (CE marking and applicable standards), acting as the main point of contact with external laboratories and notified bodies.
  • Coordinate EMC and electrical safety testing: test preparation, pre‑compliance testing, follow‑up of laboratory results and management of non‑conformities.
  • Validate charger‑to‑vehicle communication (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, DIN SPEC 70121) and charger‑to‑backend communication (OCPP).
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test execution, defects and final technical evidence (technical file).
  • Analyse test results and field incidents, support root-cause analysis and follow up corrective actions with engineering, quality and suppliers.
  • Contribute to automating repetitive test activities (scripts, API testing, data analysis) to increase coverage and reduce manual effort.
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting EV charging products and assess their impact on current and future products.
  • Higher Technical Degree (FP) or Engineering Degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in validation, testing or certification of electrical or electronic products.
  • Hands‑on experience with CE marking processes and working with external test laboratories (EMC, LVD, electrical safety).
  • Knowledge of EV charging standards, especially IEC 61851. Knowledge of ISO 15118, DIN SPEC 70121 or OCPP is a strong plus.
  • Ability to write clear test plans, test reports and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analysers, electronic loads, EV simulators).
  • English proficiency sufficient to work with standards, laboratories and international suppliers.
  • Structured, rigorous and autonomous: able to manage several projects and deadlines at the same time.
  • Joining a growing company in its sector with real possibilities for professional development.
  • Flexible working hours from Monday to Friday.
  • Attractive and flexible vacation policy.
  • Home office policy.
  • Work‑life balance and family‑friendly hours.
  • Free coffee and tea.
  • Take it Easy Room: A space to break the routine and reduce stress, with music, movies, reading, video games, guitar, refreshing drinks, and even a ping pong table!
  • Competitive salary according to experience and value provided.
