fortil is seeking a Test Lead to join our engineering teams in Madrid. You will ensure quality across software development, apply testing methodologies, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.

You will lead test planning, coordinate testers, and oversee automated testing with Java/Selenium within CI/CD environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years' experience in a solution quality assurance role.
• ISQTB certification.
• Experience developing automated tests with Selenium/JUnit.
• Good knowledge of Java.

Responsabilidades

• Define and maintain the overall test strategy.
• Coordinate all testers involved in the project.
• Ensure final integration testing is properly planned, executed and documented.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and propose solutions to increase efficiency and quality.
• Provide Management with a clear and reliable view of the project's quality status.
• Analyze testing effort and project impact based on time and test coverage estimates.
• Ensure appropriate Quality Gates are implemented, including unit testing, code quality and other quality controls.
• Support project teams in maintaining a structured approach to quality assurance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a Test Lead (M/F) to join our teams and contribute to the quality of our software solutions and products.

Working closely with Software Development teams, you will ensure that testing methodologies and quality standards are applied throughout the development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Ensure that Software Development teams apply the defined Testing Methodology (SOP).
• Collaborate with Development teams to ensure product and solution quality at every stage of the development process.
• Perform continuous testing to detect defects as early as possible.
• Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements are correct, unambiguous and verifiable.
• Define test plans and design relevant test cases.
• Execute test activities and produce test reports covering evaluation, testing and defect resolution.
• Report defects according to established guidelines and ensure that the defect tracking system remains up to date.
• Use quality and test management tools to monitor and track progress, such as Jira, Xray, TestLink, or equivalent solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and Development teams.

Test Automation

• Ensure that automated tests are integrated into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java / Selenium.
• Regularly monitor automation results and diagnose test failures.
• Automate test cases and ensure that the automation suite remains up to date and reliable.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test automation practices and frameworks.

As Test Lead on a project or product, you will:

• Define and maintain the overall test strategy.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification and have at least 5 years of experience in a solution quality assurance role.

You have demonstrated experience in both manual testing and test automation, ideally in an equipment-focused testing environment.

Your technical background includes:

• ISQTB certification.
• Experience developing automated tests with Selenium / JUnit.
• Good knowledge of Java programming.
• Experience with test automation frameworks.
• Experience using Git.
• Demonstrated experience in manual and automated testing.
• Demonstrated experience in equipment testing.
• Knowledge of test planning, execution, reporting and defect management.
• Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, TestLink or equivalent solutions.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environments.
