PSA BDP is seeking a Tender Specialist to act as a project manager for pricing-based air freight bid offers. You will dissect business requirements, manage internal stakeholders, and ensure quality, compliance, and timely submissions across large-scale RFQs.

The role emphasizes market competitiveness, risk/yield analysis, and collaboration with Finance, Legal, HR, and Sales/Marketing to secure final approvals from senior leadership.

Formación

• Education: Graduate from relevant and/or compatible programs.
• Proficient in: Business English, MS Suite, freight forwarding, logistics & transportation.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in pricing, procurement, Tender Management, product development, inside sales, freight forwarding operations, etc.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and multicultural environments is a must.
• Mastery of an additional language (German, French, Spanish, etc.) is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the planning, organizing, directing and delivery of large-scale global logistic RFQs annually.
• Create in-depth analyses of bids showing position vs first round.
• Lead internal bidding preparation and set internal milestones per bid.
• Define and communicate pricing instructions and rate architecture.
• Ensure quality, time management and project completion.
• Perform sanity checks and manage discrepancies.
• Handle submissions and uploads.
• Manage versions and additional pricing rounds.
• Align company interests with customer requirements through pricing data and cross-functional input; present to upper management for approval.

Scope

The role of the Tender Specialist is that of a project manager in the context of crafting pricing-based air freight bid offers. The Tender Specialist is responsible for dissecting the business requirements and bidding instructions managing internal stakeholders and working with opportunity owners. The Tender Specialist is concerned with quality, compliance, market competitiveness and risk/yield analysis. The overall quality of the proposals submitted, their completeness and timeliness are their priority. Tender Specialists participate in performance management, reporting, team development, training and facilitation of access to tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, organizing, directing and delivery of large-scale global logistic RFQs annually


• Creating in-depth analyses of bids (where we stand versus 1st round etc).


• Lead Internal bidding preparation, scheduling internal communication milestones per bid (kick-off, review calls, RG, etc.)


• Define and communicate pricing instructions & rate architecture


• Ensure quality, time management and project completion


• Sanity checks and management of discrepancies


• Submission & Uploads


• Version Management & Additional pricing rounds


• Align company interests with customer requirements through scrupulous analysis of pricing data provided by global pricing colleagues and through coordination of input from Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and Sales/Marketing; present finalized project to upper management (including “C” level management) for final approval


• Measure performance, maintain pipeline reports, update statuses of submitted RFQs


• Train counterparts so as to enable them to use TM-run tools and resources


• Support other members of the team and take the initiative to suggest process improvements

Qualifications And Experience
