TUI Musement is seeking a Logistics Agent to support the Port Operations team in Barcelona, ensuring cargo is delivered and collected during cruise calls. You will coordinate air, road, and sea freight, customs brokerage, and warehousing while maintaining efficient contingency plans.

The role involves on-site port operations support, rate negotiations for spot shipments, and close collaboration with the Port Agency Team to maintain high service levels and accuracy in pre-invoicing.

Formación

• University degree or similar in International Trade or Logistics.
• Experience in Freight Forwarding, shipping line, or cruise logistics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Join our global TUI Musement Port Operations Team as a Logistics Agent and provide a high level of service for your internal and external customers. Intercruises Port Operations is a specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. Based in Barcelona you will be assisting cruise lines and other clients on their daily logistics operations in the Port of Barcelona. This position is Temporary, only to cover a paternity leave.

About The Job

• Work closely with our Port Agency Team, to ensure we deliver and collect all cargo during each cruise ship call in Barcelona.
• Supervise & coordinate all kind of shipments: airfreights, road freights and sea freights.
• Supervise & coordinate Customs Brokerage, local/international transportation, and warehousing services.
• Handle the cargo logistics operations of landing goods: transport, customs brokerage, etc.
• Finding alternatives to logistics problems and create contingency plans when necessary.
• Update, maintain and close all logistics files in our operational software and ensure pre-invoicing is correct.
• Negotiate rates for international or national spot shipments and quote customers accordingly.
• Liaise and coordinate crew hotel bookings when necessary, including set up for invoicing.
• On site logistics operations assistance (at the pier) during ship's calls.

About You

• Preferred University Degree or similar, such as International Trade or Logistics studies.
• You have worked in a Freight Forwarding company, a shipping line or handling cruise logistics operations.
• You are willing to work as part of a team, leading initiatives and setting new procedures to reach high levels of efficiency.
• You can work timely, efficient and precisely. You are a high-quality decisions maker, even when working under pressure.
• You are an individual with excellent communication, verbal and written skills in English and Spanish (additional languages will be an advantage).
• You have a pro-active guest service mind-set with a clear focus on quality and efficiency.
• Knowledge of data analysis or project planning will be also valuable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• You appreciate to work in an international environment, and you are a team player with a supportive attitude.
• Must hold a valid EU passport or equivalent
