Job summary

Uplift People Consulting is seeking an experienced Printing Technician for a Spain-based manufacturer of high‑tech printing and packaging machinery. You will install, commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery at customer sites, ensuring safety and performance.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering diploma, has 5–7 years in the Printing & Packaging industry, and can travel as required. English skills are valued, and teamwork is essential in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and start up printing and packaging machinery.
• Carry out installation, commissioning and testing before shipment.
• Perform interventions at customer sites to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and implement long-term solutions.
• Maintain service records and prepare detailed intervention reports.

Printing Technician – Printing & Packaging Machinery

We are looking for an experienced Printing Technician to join the Engineering Department of an established industrial machinery company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of printing and packaging machinery, including technical interventions at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and start up new printing and packaging machinery.
• Perform internal machine adjustments and testing before shipment to customers.
• Carry out technical interventions at customer sites to identify and resolve printing‑related problems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and implement effective long‑term solutions.
• Work with offset printing machines, long‑run and short‑run web offset machines, and related equipment.
• Maintain service records and prepare detailed reports following technical interventions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Professional Training Grade I – Mechanics, or a relevant technical qualification.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in the Printing & Packaging Industry is essential.
• Hands‑on experience with printing/packaging machinery and mechanical assembly.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• English language skills will be valued.
• Hard‑working, meticulous, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team.
