Your Tasks

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Software Development Engineer to join our on-site team in Madrid. This is a hands‑on role focused on developing and maintaining the automated test platforms used to validate broadband and set‑top box devices. You’ll be responsible for building robust test software that interfaces directly with hardware, controls diagnostic routines and logs test results. You’ll also create internal tools and user interfaces that enable technicians to run tests efficiently and accurately. Therefore, you’ll work with our global engineering teams in US and EU as well as with the local branch team. This is a software development role, not manual or application testing. It suits someone with strong coding skills and a good understanding of how software interacts with physical devices.

• Design, develop and support automated test software for broadband and media devices
• Interface with hardware via automation scripts and control protocols
• Convert customer requirements and engineering inputs into reliable technical solutions
• Write clean, well‑structured and testable code
• Maintain, upkeep and continuous improvement of automated test systems
• Train operators on test methods and test systems
• Document test processes and procedures

Your Qualifications

• Trained Telecommunications Engineer (“Ingenieros de Telecomunicaciones”)
• Strong programming experience in C++, C# and Pythone
• Solid working knowledge of SQL for managing test data
• Hands‑on experience building or supporting test systems that interact with hardware
• Familiarity with Windows development environments (Visual Studio, etc.)
• Experience designing and building internal tools or basic user interfaces
• Ability to troubleshoot and adapt solutions based on different device types and protocols
• Understanding of webservice / API calls
• Basic understanding of STB, router and network functionality
• Strong English and Spanish skills in speech and writing
• Willingness to travel
• Headend experience would definitely be a plus
