Hot Vacancy – Field Service Technician for CAT Engines
Location: Papendrecht (Nationwide deployment across the Netherlands)

Job Description
- You will work independently, traveling to client sites across the Netherlands to carry out maintenance, overhauls, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Caterpillar industrial diesel engines.
- You will be responsible for performing major mechanical maintenance, complex engine overhauls, and independently planning and reporting functional tests.
- You will handle fault diagnostics, maintain direct communication with clients, and complete administrative follow-ups.
- Although much of the work is performed solo on-site, you will be part of a service team supported by a central Service Coordinator.
Candidate Profile – Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a service technician in the industrial or maritime sector.
- Hands‑on experience with diesel engines, pumps, turbochargers, and drive systems.
- Previous work on or with large ships, inland vessels, luxury yachts, or offshore installations.
- Proven experience in major maintenance and overhauls of diesel engines, preferably CAT.
- Capable of independently dismantling and replacing drive shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, gearboxes.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving faults in engines, generators, and mechanical auxiliary systems.
- Competent in preparing, performing, and documenting functional tests and test runs.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, exhaust aftertreatment, and modern engine management systems (experience with TIER 4 / EURO 6 is a plus).
- Independent, communicative, and professional in client interactions.
- Willing to travel throughout the Netherlands.
- Able to read and understand technical English.
- European passport.
