Sonnedix is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Engineering and Architecture team to provide technical leadership for FinTel, Sonnedix’s mission-critical financial modelling platform. You will shape the platform’s technical direction, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with business needs, while leading the technical roadmap.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading complex, business-critical platforms.
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud-based solutions.
• Strong CI/CD, IaC, testing and observability.
• Experience with APIs and data integrations across enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with financial modelling or data-intensive analytical apps is a plus.

The Role

The Technical Lead will join the Engineering and Architecture team to provide technical leadership for Sonnedix’s mission-critical financial modelling platform, FinTel. FinTel supports key financial outputs, including IRR and NAV, which underpin important investment decisions and reporting cycles. You will help shape the platform’s technical direction, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with the needs of the business.

The Role

The Technical Lead will join the Engineering and Architecture team to provide technical leadership for Sonnedix’s mission-critical financial modelling platform, FinTel. FinTel supports key financial outputs, including IRR and NAV, which underpin important investment decisions and reporting cycles. You will help shape the platform’s technical direction, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with the needs of the business. You will lead the technical roadmap and work closely with engineering teams to deliver new features, improvements and fixes, while embedding effective practices across architecture, automation, testing, monitoring and operational support. You will help identify and address technical risks and opportunities, improve platform performance and maintainability, and ensure FinTel continues to evolve as the business grows. A key focus will be developing sustainable internal capability and reducing reliance on external vendors. You will work collaboratively with Engineering, Product and Finance teams, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of others while translating complex financial requirements into practical, robust technical solutions.

What we're looking for:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience providing technical leadership for complex, business-critical platforms or software solutions.
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud-based solutions and modern software architectures.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and observability.
• Experience designing APIs, complex data flows and integrations across enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product and Finance.
• Experience with financial modelling, investment platforms or data-intensive analytical applications would be beneficial.
