Confluence is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Omnia Platform team, a global engineering group building a modern, multi-tenant SaaS solution for institutional clients. This hands-on leadership role owns complex challenges, influences architecture, and helps shape the platform’s future.

You’ll work with teams across Spain, the US, and Vietnam, designing, developing, and evolving the Omnia platform with C#/.NET, Python, React, and cloud-native services on Azure and Kubernetes.

• Significant software engineering experience with deep expertise in C# and .NET.
• Backend development experience in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Experience with MongoDB or comparable NoSQL technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerised apps, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building multi-tenant software applications.
• Strong understanding of architecture, scalability, and system design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and independent work on complex challenges.

We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Omnia Platform team, a global engineering group building a modern, multi-tenant SaaS solution used by institutional clients worldwide.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll own complex engineering challenges, influence architectural decisions, and help shape the future of a strategic platform that's central to our business. You'll join a collaborative team spanning Spain, the US, and Vietnam, working alongside talented engineers across multiple disciplines and time zones.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and evolving the Omnia platform.

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET.
• Work with MongoDB Atlas, optimising data models and application performance.
• Drive the reliability, deployment, and scalability of cloud-native services running on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Develop data processing and calculation workflows using Python and modern dataframe technologies.
• Contribute across the full stack, building user-facing functionality with React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Champion best practices in software quality, testing, code reviews, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to shape solutions that deliver real client value.
• Mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance engineering effectiveness.

What skills and experience do I need to succeed?

Essential Experience

• Significant software engineering experience with deep expertise in C# and .NET.
• Strong backend development experience within enterprise SaaS environments.
• Experience with MongoDB or comparable NoSQL technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerised applications, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and operating multi-tenant software applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and system design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.

Desirable Experience

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Python and data-processing workflows.
• React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, or people leadership exposure.
• DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar.
