Amaris Consulting in Barcelona is seeking a Senior API Technical Lead (Kafka & Event-Driven Integration) to drive delivery across complex integration programs. You will mentor engineers, own architectural decisions, and partner with product and operations to ensure scalable, reliable services using Kafka, REST APIs, and CDC in distributed systems.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, integration projects, or technical leadership.
• Proven experience leading integration projects involving Kafka, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and Change Data Capture (CDC). (mandatory)
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of API design (REST; GraphQL is a plus).
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with JIRA (backlog management, sprint planning, workflow coordination, and task tracking).
• Experience conducting code reviews and promoting coding standards, quality assurance, and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills in distributed environments.
• Experience validating Kafka events, schema evolution, and event transformation processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional level of English. (mandatory)

• Mentor and support developers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices.

• Coordinate onboarding activities across multiple teams and ensure successful project execution.
• Manage and coordinate technical tasks through JIRA, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across stakeholders.
• Review code, enforce coding standards, and promote quality assurance processes.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues in distributed systems and drive root-cause analysis.
• Validate Kafka events, event transformations, and schema evolution in production environments.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the team.
• Act as the technical reference for integration-related topics throughout the project lifecycle and post-go-live support.
