A leading international educational institution in Madrid is looking for a teacher to foster student interest in Mathematics and Science. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and a Master's in teaching, along with experience in these subjects. The role requires native English proficiency and the ability to communicate in Spanish. The position offers an indefinite contract with working hours from Monday to Friday.
To foster interest in and commitment to the acquisition of mathematical, physical and chemical literacy in a diverse, inclusive and international educational environment. To inspire students through learning mathematics, physics and chemistry, cultivating the four key skills : analytical skills, problem solving, logical reasoning and conceptual understanding, to empower students in a globalised world.
To develop strong scientific and mathematical skills and promote intercultural understanding in these fields, preparing students to excel in an interconnected and constantly evolving environment, while cultivating an international and critical mindset.
Plan, prepare, develop and deliver Mathematics and P&C courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines, school requirements and the Programme(s) in which they teach.
Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas.
Use relevant technology to support teaching.
Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessment and reporting.
Observing, monitoring and evaluating student learning and progress.
Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework and other projects.
Communicate student progress and evaluations to tutors and / or families.
Maintain good student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, in accordance with the school's disciplinary policies.
Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as well as other school and institutional events.
Be willing to participate in, cooperate with and possibly lead other initiatives in the school related to the development of school culture, leadership among pupils and the promotion of school values, such as projects, excursions, events and pastoral care of pupils, as a way of effectively meeting the personal, social (welfare) and academic needs of pupils and staff.
Degree in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or similar.
Master's degree in teaching.
Previous experience as a teacher of Mathematics, and Physics & Chemistry subjects.
Native English level & ability to communicate in Spanish
Indefinite contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 : 00-17 : 00h.
