An international consulting firm is seeking a Field Surveyor to join their team for a construction project in Toronto, Canada. This on-site role entails accurate survey data collection and analysis, requiring adaptability and technical proficiency. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction and be familiar with various surveying tools such as Laser Scanners and Total Stations. Formación

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Surveyor in heavy civil construction projects.
• Proficient in using a variety of survey equipment, preferably Leica.
• Must be adaptable to changing scenarios.
• Familiar with Civil 3D and Point Cloud software; MS Office skills.
• Highly adaptable to changing project environments.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Senior Surveyors during high workload periods.
• Execute survey requests outside specific station areas.
• Coordinate with Digital Delivery department for drone flights.
• Continuously improve surveying knowledge and mentor Survey Assistants.
• Mentor and support Survey Assistants in their development.
• Propose and implement measures to enhance survey efficiency.
• Handle company materials safely and per safety protocols.
• Establish, measure, and maintain the Survey Network as required.
• Collaborate with other surveyors to meet project objectives.

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Field Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Toronto, Canada (on-site position)

-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Summary: this role demands a versatile professional capable of performing effectively across varied project environments. It offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of major civil projects by ensuring precise and accurate survey data collection and analysis. Adaptability, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach are essential attributes for this role.

• Assist Senior Surveyors as needed, particularly during periods of high workload.
• Execute survey requests outside specific station areas as directed.
• Fulfill survey department requirements including data acquisition and stakeouts related to the project network.
• Coordinate with the Digital Delivery department, supporting drone flights and other specific needs.
• Continuously improve surveying knowledge and skills.
• Mentor and support Survey Assistants in their professional development.
• Propose and implement measures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the survey section.
• Handle company materials responsibly and in accordance with safety protocols.
• Assist in establishing, measuring, and maintaining the Survey Network as required.
• Collaborate with and support other surveyors as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Surveyor in tunnel/rail/subway/ linear works/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
• Proficiency in using a variety of survey equipment such as Laser Scanners, Total Stations, GNSS receivers, and Digital Levels. Leica preferred.
• Experience working with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) will be highly valued.
• Additional skills in technological solutions, both hardware and software, are beneficial.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of design software such as Civil 3D and Point Cloud software is advantageous.
• Be very adaptable to changing scenarios.

-Working hours: Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts on rotating schedule (2 weeks day / 2 weeks night) - Based on project demands-
