Job summary

AECOM Madrid is seeking an experienced Engineer - T&D Overhead Transmission Lines to support worldwide overhead transmission projects. The role focuses on design, analysis and execution of transmission line engineering activities, collaborating with senior technical leadership on complex infrastructure and energy transition.

The candidate will have solid overhead line design experience, strong proficiency in PLS-CADD and the ability to develop engineering deliverables, drawings and calculations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience.
• Proven work on HV/EHV transmission line projects (110kV – 400kV+).
• Strong knowledge of PLS-CADD and experience using TOWER.
• Experience preparing transmission line calculations and deliverables.
• High level of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV/EHV overhead transmission line designs and layouts.
• Prepare route alignments, tower spotting and line profiles.
• Select conductors, earth wires and insulator assemblies.
• Verify clearances and right-of-way requirements.
• Produce and maintain transmission line models (PLS-CADD).
• Prepare drawings, calculations and design documentation.
