AECOM in Madrid seeks an experienced Senior Engineer - T&D Overhead Transmission Lines to lead the design and delivery of high-voltage projects worldwide, supporting expansion and modernization of electrical networks.

The role requires extensive overhead transmission line engineering experience, including route alignment, line design, and multidisciplinary coordination, with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to work on international projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
10+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience.
Experience with HV/EHV (110kV–400kV+) projects.
Advanced experience with PLS-CADD and practical use of TOWER and PLS-POLE.
Experience delivering projects through feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction support phases.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilités

Lead HV/EHV overhead transmission line engineering and technical leadership.
Develop and review route alignments, tower spotting, conductor and earth wire selection, insulation coordination and line clearances.
Lead modelling and design using PLS-CADD and perform complex line design studies.
Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, environmental and power system teams.
Mentor junior and senior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
Support technical proposals, fee estimates and resource planning.
Provide site support during construction activities and resolve field design issues.
