We’re looking for an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to architect and drive advanced nanosatellite and microsatellite missions — from bespoke spacecraft to scalable constellation architectures. This is a highly influential technical role combining mission architecture, systems engineering and technical leadership across the complete satellite lifecycle.
What you’ll work on Define and architect end-to-end satellite missions Scale designs from high-performance individual spacecraft to constellation architectures Drive the full lifecycle from proposal and mission analysis through design, AIT and verification Act as Technical Authority , translating customer objectives into system architectures and requirements Manage complex interfaces between payloads, satellite platforms and launch providers Lead system-level trade-offs involving power, thermal, RF, pointing, mass and performance Identify and mitigate mission-level technical risks Develop pragmatic engineering processes combining space-grade quality with New Space agility Mentor and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams
What we’re looking for Significant experience in a Senior or Lead Systems Engineering role within the space industry Proven experience taking a satellite through the complete design-to-test lifecycle MSc or higher in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Software Engineering or a related field Strong expertise in requirements management, system architecture, verification and testing Knowledge of ECSS and/or NASA standards Experience with mission analysis tools such as STK or GMAT Strong understanding of multidisciplinary satellite engineering and system-level trade-offs Ability to communicate complex technical decisions to both engineering teams and customers Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking and risk-management capabilities
