Formación

About the role :

We are looking for a system testing engineer who will be part of our Engineering Team. You will be expected to contribute to the testing, data analysis and optimization of our quantum random number generators in R&D and commercial projects to bring them to the Product Line through continuous development and integration. Ultimately, this role will also include working closely with full stack engineering team contributing to the innovation of architectural designs and developments.

What you will do :
  • Definition of testing procedures (testing instructions, success criteria and figures of merit) and testing plans (calendar and resources necessary to execute procedure).
  • Implementation of R&D testing procedures (preparation of testing scripts, testing set‑ups and execution of tests).
  • Data analysis and reporting of results.
  • Planning timing and material resources which are necessary for executing tasks.
  • Optimization and automation of testing processes.
  • Support in system design and trade‑off analysis simulations.
What you need : Experience :
  • Prior technical role in an industry or start‑up environment as testing engineer of digital electronic and radiofrequency systems with more than 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with microcontrollers (STM, Microchip)
  • Experience using control version systems as git.
  • Prior hands‑on experience with quantum / photonic technologies will be valued.
  • Prior hands‑on experience with FPGAs will be valued.
Education :
  • PhD in physics, applied physics, optics, photonics, electrical or Telecom. engineering, or related discipline is required.
  • Excellent BSC candidates without MSC. will also be considered.
  • Advanced English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing and listening).
Technical skills :
  • Programming languages : Python,(virtual environments), C / C++
  • Microcontroller platforms (STM, Microchip)
  • Interfaces / Protocols : SPI, PCI, I2C, UART, CAN
  • Communications : SSH, remote connections
  • Operating Systems : Linux, Petalinux, RTOS
  • Version Control : Git / Azure
  • Data visualization : Matplotlib
  • RF laboratory equipment : signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, mixers, splitters, bias T
  • Proficient data analysis : non‑linear regressions, statistical hypothesis testing, time series analysis
  • Knowledge of digital electronics.
  • Mathematical / Physics modelling for system trade‑off evaluations will be valued.
  • Knowledge of optoelectronics will be valued.
