Durlston Partners LLP is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, build and maintain the infrastructure behind its production platform. This hands-on role sits in a small engineering team, combining infrastructure work with enabling backend services written in Go.

You will improve performance, security and resilience as the platform scales, participate in on-call rotations and work across systems, networks and databases to keep services reliable and observable.

Competenze

• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering/SRE experience.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, Kubernetes, and host-level networking.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with logs, metrics and distributed tracing.
• Focus on performance, security and production reliability.
• Experience with relational databases would be beneficial.

We are working with a growing fintech looking for a Systems Engineer to help build and maintain the infrastructure behind its production platform.

This is a hands-on role in a small engineering team, combining infrastructure and reliability work with the opportunity to contribute to backend applications. You’ll help improve the performance, security and resilience of the platform as it scales.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and maintaining reliable production infrastructure.
• Building and improving backend services using Go.
• Improving monitoring, observability and incident response.
• Automating infrastructure deployment and management.
• Troubleshooting issues across applications, operating systems and networks.
• Participating in an on-call rota and working with the wider engineering team to improve reliability.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering or a related role.
• Good understanding of operating systems, Kubernetes and host-level networking.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience working with logs, metrics and distributed tracing.
• A practical approach to performance, security and production reliability.
• Experience with relational databases would be beneficial.
