Job summary

Isotrol, a global leader in energy sector digitalization, seeks a strategic Service Manager to lead support and maintenance contracts for its worldwide client portfolio. You will ensure maximum SCADA/IoT availability, define governance, and drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading high-performance teams, executive client management, and profitability control while promoting automation and predictive monitoring across renewables facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or Electronics or similar.
• 4–5+ years managing technical services, support, or operations in tech or industrial settings.
• Experience with corporate Service Desk platforms (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Redmine).
• Proven track record leading diverse technical teams and steering executive engagement.
• Strong vendor/contract governance and SLA negotiation experience.
• Experience in incident/crisis management within critical infrastructure.

Job description

The role:

Lead the strategy, profitability, and excellence in the execution of support and maintenance contracts (preventive, corrective, and evolutionary) for Isotrol’s global client portfolio. You will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring maximum operational availability of SCADA/IoT systems in critical infrastructures, guaranteeing compliance with rigorous SLAs, leading high-performing technical teams, and maximizing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

-Strategic Service Management and IT/OT Governance:

• Ensure strict compliance with critical SLAs and KPIs for services in renewable energy industrial environments.
• Serve as the highest point of escalation for resolving crises and incidents with significant operational impact at renewable energy plants.

- Leadership and Management of High-Performance Teams:

• Lead, mentor, and scale teams of support engineers.
• Foster a culture focused on operational excellence, agility, and customer satisfaction.

- Executive Relations and Client Management (Technical Account Management):

• Lead technical and executive follow-up meetings.
• Identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and opportunities for incremental improvements to the installed base of systems.

-Financial Control, Profitability, and Continuous Improvement:

• Financial management of assigned maintenance contracts, monitoring margins and costs.
• Actively participate in the technical and financial definition of support proposals for new bids and projects.
• Promote the automation of support processes, the implementation of predictive monitoring tools, and optimization based on frameworks such as ITIL / ISO 20000.

Academic background:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or Electronics or similar.

Professional experience:

• Experience (4-5 years or more in managing technical services, support, or operations (O&M / After-Sales) in technology or industrial settings.
• Background in the renewable energy sector and hands-on experience with the operation of power generation plants.
• Proven track record in managing and governing corporate Service Desk platforms (such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Redmine, or equivalent solutions).
• Demonstrated experience leading mature, multifunctional, and culturally diverse technical teams.
• Proven track record in executive stakeholder management, commercial alignment, and negotiation of complex SLAs/contracts.
• Extensive experience in incident command and crisis management within critical infrastructure environments.

Technical knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems, IoT platforms, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA, DNP3).
• ITIL v3 / v4 Certification (Expert or Managing Professional level) is strongly desirable.
• Formal training or certification in Project Management (PMP / PMI) or Service Management (ISO 20000) is a plus / will be highly valued.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, industrial cybersecurity (OT), and hybrid infrastructure (cloud and on-premise) applied to energy monitoring systems.

Languages:

• Spanish: Native or bilingual proficiency (C2).
• English: Minimum B2 level. Mandatory for fluent technical and commercial interlocution with international clients.
