CAF Digital & Design Solutions is an engineering centre focused on railway vehicle projects and digital manufacturing. The team seeks a Supply Chain Manager to coordinate purchasing, shipments, warehousing, and outsourcing services within the Rehabilitation unit, interfacing with the project team.

• Academic background in Industrial Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in team management, negotiation, and cost analysis.
• Experience in purchasing and subcontracting management is valued.
• Languages: English; other languages (Basque, French, German) assets.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate supply chain activities under a service outsourcing model with the project team.
• Manage purchases, shipments, activation, onshore and offshore warehouses, and kitting.
• Define the logistics flow for equipment and materials and contract outsourced services.
• Prospect, negotiate, and contract logistics services and define import structures and value.
• Analyze costs, manage risks and opportunities to optimize performance.
• Travel for stays of 1–2 weeks to destination country when needed.

CAF Digital & Design Solutions is a multidisciplinary engineering centre specialising in the development of railway vehicle projects, as well as an accelerator in the implementation of digital manufacturing and a benchmark in digitalisation and additive production in the capital equipment sector.

Our main line of business has been developed in the field of rail transport, although other lines of work have now been successfully established, such as the automotive sector and our CAF Digital Manufacturing business unit, which covers all the services that make up the digital cycle.

With all this, we are dedicated to Multidisciplinary Engineering and Consultancy services specialising in Design Projects, Refurbishments, Wagons, Commissioning and Maintenance of infrastructures. As the supply chain manager, you play a vital role in supply chain performance. You will be integrated into the Rehabilitations unit as the person responsible for managing supply chain activities in coordination with the project team.

Their main task will be to coordinate the various supply chain activities under a service outsourcing model, acting as an interface to the project team (management, industrialization, quality, etc.).

The following are the different services to be coordinated:

• Purchases
• Shipments
• Activation
• Warehouse (“onshore”)
• Warehouse (“offshore”)
• Kitting

Among its functions, the following stand out;

• Prospect, negotiate, and contract logistics services
• Define the import structure and value
• Analyze costs, manage risks and opportunities

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Academic Background Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's degree) or Business Administration

Professional Experience Must have proven experience in team management, negotiation, and cost analysis.

Experience in purchasing and subcontracting management will also be valued.

Languages English. Other languages (Basque, French, German) will be considered an asset.

(preferred) Specific Skills SAP / BAAN

Other Considerations Experience abroad is valued.

Availability to travel for stays of 1 or 2 weeks in the destination country.
