As an Expert in Quality Assurance (m/f/d), you will be part of the Rolling-Stock Sourcing team for FlixTrain, ensuring our new rolling stock is delivered in the quality we aim for. In this key role, you will drive the highest standards for our new train project.

About the Role

  • Take responsibility for quality control and construction supervision of our new trains being produced in Spain
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits, qualification processes, and welding/adhesive bonding inspections
  • Steer quality assurance together with external experts at OEM and supplier production sites
  • Participate in and evaluate technical inspections, including type testing, first article inspections, and vehicle acceptances
  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation and design the quality assurance process landscape
  • Conceptualize and implement a quality monitoring system and lead quality improvement projects
  • Conduct root cause analysis and establish internal quality assurance standards
About You
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, business administration, or a similar field with a focus on quality assurance
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within the railway sector, ideally in an international environment
  • Experienced with common QA tools and techniques, including FMEA, root cause analysis, and risk assessments
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and laws
  • Expertise in welding and/or adhesive bonding technologies
  • Highly responsible, solution-oriented, analytical, and organized with structured working methods
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (German is a plus) and willing to travel across Europe
