Bcombinator is seeking a motivated Strategy Intern to join our Barcelona team. You’ll support Investment, Program, Dealflow and Investor Relations activities, prospecting leads, analyzing data, and researching potential investors.

The role offers hands-on experience in venture capital within a dynamic startup ecosystem. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a Finance, Business, or Economics degree, with strong English and Spanish, and a passion for startups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.

• Passion for venture capital and startups.

Responsabilidades

• Startup scouting and screening within dealflow.
• Analyze startups and present findings to Program Director and Investment Committee.
• Maintain portfolio tracking and investor relations support.
• Assist in corporate venturing projects and dealflow processes.
• Create and maintain lists of potential and current investors.
• Draft investor communications and organize investor events.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Strategy Intern to join our team. We’re looking for a profile that has excellent communication skills, a passion for entrepreneurship and strong interest in the innovation/startup/investment ecosystem. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Finance or Business background to gain hands‑on experience in venture capital and investor relations. The intern will support the Investment, Program, Dealflow and Investor Relation teams in prospecting leads, analyzing data, interviewing startups, researching potential investors, among other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Startup scouting (both online and at key events).
• Screening and analysis of startups within our dealflow.
• Presenting selected startups to the Program Director for potential acceleration, and to the Investment Committee (formed by the partners) for investment decisions.
• Portfolio tracking, control, and management support.
• Participation in corporate venturing projects.
• Create and maintain comprehensive lists of potential and current investors.
• Support daily communications with investors, including drafting and sending emails, preparing presentations, and responding to inquiries.
• Help organize investor events and meetings, both virtual and in-person.
• Conduct research on potential investors and market trends to support the Investor Relations team.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop investor-focused content and updates.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks to manage the administration of the Fund.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Spanish C1 or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for venture capital and startups is a must!
