Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years FP&A, controlling, accounting or a similar finance role.
• Practical knowledge of US GAAP and strong accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Experience in a multinational manufacturing/industrial environment is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into insights.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support annual operating plan, budget, strategic planning and periodic forecasting processes.
• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods; explain material variances and drivers.
• Identify emerging financial risks and opportunities and incorporate them into forecasts and management outlooks.
• Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses to support management decisions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPIs.
• Translate financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations for management.
• Support profitability and performance analysis by business unit, product, customer, geography or other dimensions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor business performance.
• Apply a sound working knowledge of US GAAP when forecasts and analyses are prepared.
• Partner with Accounting to understand accounting treatments and their effects on performance.
• Ensure consistency between reporting, forecasts and underlying records.
• Communicate financial information effectively to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
