Airbus Operations is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager for Next Generation composites in Getafe (Madrid). You will lead the composites procurement strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, and establish contracting frameworks with external suppliers to support Next Gen programmes.

The role requires engineering/science or business background, experience in international procurement, and strong negotiation and leadership skills in a transnational environment.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering, Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in Procurement, managing international suppliers, key contracts and competitive bidding.
• Fluent/advanced English (C1/C2).
• Knowledge of materials, especially composite technologies, and project management methodology.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the creation and execution of the Composites Procurement Strategy aligned with the Next Gen Programme.
• Coordinate procurement involvement for Next Generation Composite Materials and manage tender activities.
• Establish and maintain contracting framework (NDAs, Cooperation, and Research Agreements) with external suppliers.
• Monitor supplier involvement, performance, and adherence to milestones, planning and deliveries.
• Contribute to material trade-offs, drive risk and opportunity management.
• Prepare inputs and presentations for higher management and programme gates.

Job Description:An opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Manager - Next Generation Composites has arisen within Airbus Operations , Getafe (Madrid) .The selected candidate will join the PMBC (Composites Strategic Procurement) Team, which is in charge of leading the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) for composite materials across the entire Airbus Group through the Procurement Synergy Group (PSG) . This team works in a highly transnational, cross-functional, and cross-divisional environment, collaborating closely with R&T, Engineering, Manufacturing, SC&Q, and major suppliers to define, develop, and secure the next generation of composite technologies that will directly impact future aircraft platforms and business decisions .RESPONSIBILITIESThe main tasks of the jobholder will be :Lead the creation and execution of the Composites Procurement Strategy (including Key Principles, Implementation Strategy, and Planning) in alignment with the Next Gen Programme Strategy .Coordinate the overall Procurement involvement for Next Generation Composite Materials, leading the Call for Tender activities and managing functional, cross-divisional teams .Establish and maintain the contractual framework for new composite developments (NDAs, Cooperation, and Research Agreements) with external suppliers .Monitor and secure suppliers’ involvement, performance, and adherence to Programme milestones, planning, and material deliveries for trials .Ensure Procurement's contribution to material trade-offs (evaluating cost, industrial capability, and sovereignty) and drive Risk & Opportunity Management .Consolidate inputs and deliver presentations to higher management at key decision-making forums and Programme gates .SKILLSIs your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
