The Impact You’ll Make

The Strategic Account Manager – European Data Center Sales plays a critical role in identifying and developing project-level opportunities across assigned European countries. This role focuses on early engagement with local colocation operators, design firms, and general contractors in the South of Europe region to define where and how Danfoss solutions can add value to data center builds.

This is a highly collaborative and coordination-driven role. The Strategic Account Manager ensures that Danfoss products are well-positioned within project specifications and works across internal functions to support sales execution through OEMs and channel partners.

The position can be located in Italy, France or Spain and it is a home-office based position.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Build and manage a pipeline of data center project opportunities within with a focus on early engagement and long-term growth.
  • Work closely with local colocation operators and their design and construction partners to define project needs and identify opportunities for Danfoss solutions.
  • Act as the central coordination point collaborating with regional sales, OEM Key Account Managers, and product line sales drivers to ensure Danfoss content is positioned effectively through the appropriate sales channels.
  • Represent Danfoss in local data center associations and participate in relevant exhibitions and networking events to strengthen market presence and customer relationships.
  • Support sales leadership with account planning, funnel management, and reporting on wins, losses, and market intelligence.
  • Provide local market insights and shifting needs of data center thermal management application to inform broader European product strategy and execution.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of commercial HVAC / R industry experience, preferably emphasis on data center infrastructure, cooling, and electronics thermal management.
  • Strong knowledge and network of Data Center stakeholders (consultants, integrators, large end-users) preferred.
  • Proven working experience in fast-moving, multi-cultural, data center industry preferred. Project Management experience is ideal.
  • Danfoss is a global organization, so candidates must be fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Willingness to travel 50%-75% in the region of South Europe.
