QCS Staffing Ltd is seeking a Storage & Backup Administrator for Valencia, Spain, or remote working across Southern and Eastern Europe. The initial 6-month contract offers the possibility of extensions and long-term potential.

You will design, implement, and manage enterprise storage and backup architectures, covering health checks, provisioning, and replication, with focus on availability and security. This role requires extensive hands-on experience across multiple vendors and backup solutions.

• Extensive IT work experience in enterprise storage and backup environments.

• Experience installing and administering enterprise backup systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement enterprise storage and backup architectures to meet availability, recovery, and security needs.
• Administer and maintain storage arrays, SAN fabrics, and backup platforms including health checks and policies.
• Plan and execute installations, upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions with rollback testing.
• Monitor system health and performance, resolve bottlenecks, and drive improvements.

Storage & Backup Administrator – Valencia, Spain or Remote Working in Southern & Eastern Europe – Initial 6-Month Contract

Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking a Storage & Backup Administrator to support them as a contractor, with the option to work in Valencia or remotely in Southern and Eastern Europe. Starting at an initial 6-month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.

What you’ll deliver:

• Design and implement enterprise storage and backup architectures aligned with business, availability, recovery, capacity, and security requirements.
• Administer and maintain storage arrays, SAN fabrics, and backup platforms, including daily health checks, storage provisioning, host integration, backup client configuration, schedules, retention policies, and replication.
• Plan and execute installations, upgrades, migrations, capacity expansions, and proof-of[1]concept deployments, including testing, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Monitor and analyze system health, performance, capacity, and backup success; resolve bottlenecks and implement improvements.

Key requirements:

• Extensive relevant IT work experience in managing and configuring enterpriseStorage and Backup environments and related services in a complex heterogenous environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience in the administration and troubleshooting of block and file storage systems across multiple vendor platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell PowerStore, Dell ECS systems).
• Excellent knowledge in the installation and administration of Enterprise Backup systems (e.g., DELL Avamar, PPDM, Data Domain, Veeam B&R and other market leaders in backup solutions).
