Wood is recruiting a Steel Structure Design Engineer to join its Power & Industrial business with extensive experience in the Power Plants industry. This opportunity provides a Hybrid work attachment at Madrid, Las Rozas, offices.

The candidate will function as Structural Engineer on large or complex projects, perform technical calculations, prepare data sheets and drawings, and check shop drawings related to steel structures and non-pressure parts.

Qualifications

• Structural engineer with experience in power/industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineer on large/complex projects including boiler steel structure and non-pressure parts.
• Prepares technical data sheets, material takeoffs and specifications.
• Prepares, verifies and approves drawings related to technical calculations.
• Checks and approves steel structure and non-pressure parts shop drawings.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Steel Structure Design Engineer, to participate in our Engineering & Technical department with the followingexpertise:

• Perform the function of Structural Engineer on large or complex projects, including Design and Supply of Power plants Boiler´s steel structure and non-pressure parts.
• Performs technical calculations and technical reports.
• Prepares technical data sheets, material takeoffand specifications.
• Prepares, verifies and/or approves drawings related to the technical calculations performed.
• Check, comment, and approval of Steel structure and Non pressure parts shop drawings.
