Wood is recruiting for an experienced Steel Structure Design Engineer to join its Power & Industrial team in Madrid, Las Rozas, on a hybrid basis. You will contribute to the engineering & Technical department with responsibilities around large-scale boiler steel structures.

The role includes calculations, data sheets, drawings, and shop drawing approval to support the design and supply of critical power plant components.

Formación

• Experience as Structural Engineer on large projects.
• Design and supply of power plant boiler steel structures.
• Ability to prepare technical data sheets and specs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and supply of boiler steel structures and non-pressure parts.
• Perform technical calculations and write reports.
• Prepare technical data sheets, material takeoffs and specs.
• Prepare, verify, and approve steel structure shop drawings.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Steel Structure Design Engineer, to participate in our Engineering & Technical department with the following expertise:

• Perform the function of Structural Engineer on large or complex projects, including Design and Supply of Power plants Boiler´s steel structure and non-pressure parts.
• Performs technical calculations and technical reports.
• Prepares technical data sheets, material takeoff and specifications.
• Prepares, verifies and/or approves drawings related to the technical calculations performed.
• Check, comment, and approval of Steel structure and Non pressure parts shop drawings.
