Google LLC is seeking a Share Staff Software Engineer in Spain to anchorThreat Intelligence engineering, define strategy, and architect scalable cloud-native services. You will lead design, align with security engineers, and guide teams across Google Cloud Security.

The role emphasizes building real-time threat intelligence systems, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-impact, reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience with statistical classification models, false-positive mitigation, and score calibration.
• Experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) both in production

Responsabilités

• Define and drive the technical strategy, roadmap, and architecture for the GTI Threat Scoring platform and verdict engine within Google Threat Intelligence.
• Mentor and grow mid-level and executive software engineers in Málaga, creating clarity, protecting team focus, and advocating high standards for code quality, design documentation, and system reliability.
• Act as a key technical anchor across Google Cloud Security, partnering closely with security engineers, threat analysts and domain experts to systematically encode frontline.
• Architect the cloud-native microservices supporting low-latency graph propagation and real-time threat intelligence streaming.
