A global healthcare technology company in Barcelona is looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead significant technical initiatives and ensure robust, scalable solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering leaders and have a direct impact on the technology landscape. Applicants should have strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and observability practices, along with excellent communication skills.
You might have heard about us, but with a different name : Znanylekarz. It all started 10 years ago when we asked ourselves : is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and we empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visit. We then provided doctors with the technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could devote themselves to what they always wanted : treating patients. And today is the day in which we ask you : wanna join us in the next step of making the healthcare experience more human?
We are leaders in 13 countries so far, and more than 90 million patients trust us every month. 300,000+ specialists believe in us and our product, and so do leading venture capital funds such as Point Nine Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and One Peak Partners. And yet, employing over 2,500 people all over the globe, we managed to keep the startup‑mindset we started with over 10 years ago.
At Docplanner Tech (https://docplanner.tech/) we are a diverse group of over 400 people working in Engineering, Data, and Product teams. We are responsible for building the product for all locations. Many of us have been here for over 5 years, yet we still welcome each new person with great joy and excitement.
Join Docplanner’s mission‑driven global tech community, spanning 13 countries with over 300 technology professionals. As part of our Site Reliability Engineering team in the Platform area, you will help build and maintain robust systems that serve millions of patients and healthcare professionals every month. In this dynamic, multicultural, and collaborative environment, innovation, autonomy, and teamwork drive meaningful impact at one of the world’s leading healthcare platforms.
In the Platform team, we believe in empowering our engineers and product teams by building exceptional platforms designed with a product mindset. We embrace the Platform as a Product approach, treating our internal platform as a user‑centric, continuously evolving product that delivers real value. This means focusing on reducing cognitive load, streamlining workflows, and aligning closely with business needs to accelerate innovation and improve developer experience and autonomy. We prioritize reliability by building resilient platforms that consistently deliver high availability and performance, enabling our teams to innovate with confidence.
As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will be fully empowered and accountable for driving impactful, complex, company‑wide, and cross‑area technical initiatives — ensuring robust, scalable solutions with exceptional operational standards. You will actively collaborate with the Engineering Manager (LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/dev), shaping not only the strategic direction of our Platform area but also influencing the broader company’s technology landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Platform / Engineering Director (LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/lukaszbarulski), you will play a key role in continuously enhancing our systems and mentoring technical leaders across teams.
We are committed to ownership, proactivity, continuous improvement, open feedback, and working efficiently towards our goals. This role provides an opportunity to actively contribute to the technical direction of the area, and impact the entire organization.
At Docplanner Tech, our core stack features are Elastic, Vault, MongoDB, MariaDB, Postgres, MSSQL, RabbitMQ, .NET, PHP, Go, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js and React Native—all running on Kubernetes in AWS. Hands‑on experience with several of these technologies is essential, as this role is deeply technical and process‑oriented. In addition to strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a track record of shaping technical and process decisions are crucial to support and influence engineering teams effectively.
