Technosylva, Inc. is seeking a Staff QA Engineer to drive the Quality Engineering vision and elevate our testing capabilities for wildfire management software.

You will define automation strategy, spearhead AI-driven testing, and establish metrics-driven quality practices across Engineering, Product, and Platform teams. This leadership role includes mentoring the QA team and shaping a proactive quality culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of QA experience with automation.
• Proven record of solving complex automation challenges in production (e.g., flakiness at scale).
• Hands-on application of AI in testing, including log analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in e2e and API automation with Playwright and Rest-assured.
• Ability to define and interpret quality metrics for reporting systems.
• Deep expertise in Agile Testing, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mandatory English communication skills (C1); international team experience valued.
• Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to teams.
• Background in .NET development is a plus; data QA with Python, R, Airflow is a plus.

At Technosylva, we are redefining software quality benchmarks within the wildfire management sector. We are seeking a Staff QA Engineer to spearhead the technical vision of our Quality Engineering team and elevate our testing capabilities to the next level.

This leadership role extends beyond execution: you will define the technical direction for automation, drive the intensive integration of artificial intelligence into testing workflows, and serve as the organizational authority for quality metrics analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership

• Automation Strategy: Define and evolve the technical automation strategy, resolving high-complexity challenges across pipelines, environments, and frameworks.
• Scalable Solutions: Design complex automation solutions
• Technical Reference: Act as the primary QA authority in architectural decisions, ensuring quality is integrated from the design phase.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Development, Product, and Platform teams to dismantle silos and accelerate the delivery of value.
• Agile Participation: Contribute a critical and constructive quality perspective during Agile ceremonies.

AI-Driven Testing

• AI Adoption: Lead the intensive implementation of AI across the testing lifecycle, including automated test case generation and failure analysis.
• Research & Evaluation: Evaluate emerging AI tools and methodologies, transitioning prototypes into production environments.

Quality Metrics & Analytics

• Metrics Modeling: Design and evolve the organizational model for quality metrics, including coverage, defect escape rate, and flakiness.
• Actionable Insights: Translate data into strategic insights for Engineering, Product, and Management teams.
• Reporting Systems: Build dashboards that facilitate data-driven decisions regarding product health and team performance.
• Risk Identification: Proactively identify quality trends and potential risks before they impact client operations.
• Technical Mentorship: Guide the professional growth of the QA team and the adoption of industry best practices.
• Quality Culture: Cultivate a proactive environment where defect prevention is a standard habit.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on automation.
• Proven record of resolving complex automation challenges in production (e.g., flakiness at scale, map/canvas-based testing).
• Hands-on application of AI in testing, including log analysis and AI-assisted exploration.
• Advanced proficiency in e2e and API automation frameworks such as Playwright, Rest-assured.
• Ability to define and interpret quality metrics to build decision-oriented reporting systems.
• Deep expertise in Agile Testing, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mandatory English communication skills (C1 Level); international team experience is highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance to teams.
• Background in .NET development is considered a significant advantage.
• Experience in data QA (Python, R, Airflow) is a plus.
