Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a Staff Software Quality Engineer to lead test automation across a multi-service environment. You will set the technical direction, design an automation framework, and guide engineers through best practices in a hands-on role without people management responsibilities.

You will define test levels, own release quality, and ensure reliable automation across APIs, contracts, and end-to-end workflows in a hybrid Spain-based setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality engineering or test automation on complex distributed platforms.
• Ability to lead test strategy and set standards for coding and automation.
• Experience with API, contract, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical test strategy and risk-based coverage across multiple test levels.
• Lead release acceptance from quality perspective for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design and evolve the test automation framework and CI/CD integration.
• Write and review automated tests hands-on and set coding standards.
• Mentor engineers and promote shared quality ownership in the team.
• Manage environments and data to ensure scalable automation runs.
