Job summary

Qonto is hiring a Product Manager for Loans in Madrid. You will own the roadmap to build SMB loans from zero to one, shaping underwriting and decisioning with cross-functional partners.

You will explore how AI can enhance credit decisions while ensuring compliance. You will work with Risk, Compliance, Growth and Product Marketing to ship launches that scale across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience taking products from idea to market in finance or a regulated space.
• Knowledge of lending or willingness to learn it.
• Experience applying AI to credit decisions is a plus.
• Ability to carry launches through risk and compliance approvals.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the loans roadmap from concept to launch and set KRs for the Loans squad.
• Conduct continuous discovery to identify SMB credit pain points and needs.
• Define underwriting and decisioning approaches in collaboration with Risk.
• Explore AI opportunities to guide clients to suitable financing within regulatory bounds.
• Coordinate with Credit Platform, Risk, Compliance, Growth and Product Marketing to ship launches.

What you’ll do

• Build loans from zero to one: You’ll own the roadmap and KRs of our new Loans squad, from first idea to launch.


• Dig into SMB credit pain points: You’ll run continuous discovery and experiments to learn how businesses borrow today and what they truly need.


• Shape underwriting and decisioning: You’ll define how we assess eligibility and decide how much we lend, together with Risk.


• Bring AI into credit: You’ll explore how AI can guide clients to the right financing, within a strict regulatory frame.


• Ship responsibly with our partners: You’ll work with our credit platform team, Risk, Compliance, Growth and Product Marketing to get every launch approved and live.

What we’re looking for

• Zero-to-one launches: You’ve taken products from idea to market as a PM, ideally in finance or another regulated space.


• Credit curiosity: You know lending, or you’re eager to learn it, from underwriting to repayment.


• AI-fluent: You use AI every day and want to apply it to credit decisions.


• Autonomy with Risk and Compliance: You can carry a launch through approvals on your own.


• Clear English: You communicate clearly, in writing and out loud, with everyone on the team.
