News Corporation's Dow Jones Technology team seeks a Staff Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms powering analytics and product experiences. You will balance hands-on development with technical leadership, shaping engineering direction and cross-team initiatives.

You will lead architects, drive data quality improvements, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering at staff level.
• Experience with data lakes and modern data orchestration.
• Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Kinesis, ECS, SNS, SQS, Lambda).
• Strong programming and query skills in SQL, Java, Python; REST/GraphQL design.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.

Responsabilidades

• Lead large-scale data engineering initiatives and set technical direction.
• Architect data systems across storage, transformation, and serving layers.
• Mentor and align cross-functional teams, influence executive audiences.
