Factorial HR is seeking a Staff AI Engineer for the API & Integrations Team in Barcelona. You will own end-to-end API and integrations, shaping developer and user experiences, while enabling cross-product consistency across ATS, payroll and ERP systems.

You will mentor peers and help define the AI-enabled integration roadmap following the YepCode acquisition. You will collaborate with Product and Design to ensure API capabilities meet user needs, and you will contribute to the long-term

In this role you will own the public API and integrations framework end-to-end, shaping developer and user experiences while ensuring cross-product consistency. You will collaborate with product and design to deliver real customer value, mentor peers, and help define the AI-enabled integration roadmap after the YepCode acquisition. You’ll work on scalable systems that connect Factorial to payroll, ATS, ERPs, and other services, driving impact across the platform.

• Collaborate with Product and Design to align API/integration capabilities with user needs
• Maintain cross-product consistency for experiences across verticals (ATS, payroll, ERPs) within Factorial design system
• Engage with customers through calls and feedback to validate solutions and reduce assumptions
• Mentor peers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Help shape AI-related concepts (AI Skills, evaluation frameworks, RAG, agentic workflows) as part of the YepCode roadmap
• Take ownership of system reliability, performance, and long-term evolution of integrations framework
• Build reusable abstractions for multi-team usage across languages and products
• Development maturity with production-grade code
• Proven impact through shipped projects or meaningful contributions
