De Antonio Yachts in Barcelona is seeking an engineer to join the busy Engineering team to develop powerboats from concept to build.

You will produce 3D models and drawings, manage BOMs and weight estimates, and coordinate with the yard and suppliers.

The role requires naval engineering background, CAD proficiency, and fluency in English or Spanish.

Formación

• B.Eng in naval engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, aeronautics, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in marine technical office/yard.
• 3D CAD & 2D CAD with proficiency in parametric CAD.
• Knowledge of naval architecture principles.
• Experience with composite structures and mechanical engineering mindset.
• Ability to liaise with other engineers/designers to optimize design.
• Capable of performing standard engineering calculations.
• Experience with composite manufacturing products.
• Fluent in English and/or Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Produce 3D models and 2D production drawings from concept design.
• Create BOMs for new and ongoing projects and maintain them.
• Provide weight estimates for new and ongoing projects.
• Coordinate with the yard to ensure correct project implementation.
• Research and propose boat equipment.
• Develop ready production solutions from concept design.
• Design and detail all onboard systems from concept to build.
• Organize tasks and timelines for yard production.

The successful candidate will work as part of the busy, fast paced Engineering team on the development of new and innovative powerboats within DeAntonioYachts design team. DeAntonioYachts designs and produces boats for the powerboat leisure market. Currently in its 10 th anniversary, production is done in Europe and boats are sold world wide.

Key responsibilites & accountabilities

• 3D modelling & 2D drawings for production from concept design
• BOM’s for new an ongoing projects. Population and maintenance of existing ones
• Weight estimate for new and ongoing projects.
• Communication with yard to ensure correct projects implementation
• Research and proposal of boat equipment
• Develop ready production solutions from a concept design phase
• Design and detail all systems onboard, from concept to build
• Organize tasks and timings for yard production

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Eng in naval engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, aeronautic, or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in marine technical office/yard
• 3D CAD & 2D CAD. Professional Proficiency on parametric CAD.
• Familiar with naval architecture principles
• Composite structures & mechanical engineering mind set
• Able to liaise with other engineers/designers to optimize overall design
• Capable of performing standard engineering calculations
• Previous experience with composite manufacturing products
• Fluent in English and/or Spanish
