Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking a Sr. Procurement Manager to lead capacity procurement for the middle mile network. You will define strategy, scope initiatives, and source carrier capacity in line with ATS objectives while influencing senior leadership on direction.

Successful candidates will be analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, working with Europe-based Carrier Managers, Program Managers, and Product Managers to drive value and deliver on ambitious transport goals.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands‑on, and customer‑obsessed candidate to work with the Surface Transportation Procurement team. In this role, you will manage the capacity procurement process to support the growth of the Amazon middle mile transportation network. You will be responsible for defining, scoping, and implementing initiatives to source carrier capacity in alignment with Amazon Transportation Services strategy while achieving performance and budget objectives. You will work on defining the strategy to transform the current transportation environment including influencing senior leadership on the direction of the middle mile business.

In this role, you will manage the capacity procurement process to support the growth of the Amazon middle mile transportation network. You will be responsible for defining, scoping, and implementing initiatives to source carrier capacity in alignment with Amazon Transportation Services strategy while achieving performance and budget objectives. You will work on defining the strategy to transform the current transportation environment including influencing senior leadership on the direction of the middle mile business.

Key job responsibilities

• You will drive strategy, prioritize project initiatives and feature sets, and set and align expectations with Amazon stakeholders. This requires partnership with Amazon Transportation Services program and technical teams.
• You will work closely with teams of program and product managers to drive requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation in line with Amazon Transportation Services strategy and corporate objectives.
• You will define, prioritize, and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for programs to be delivered on time.
• You will monitor project execution and ensure project delivery is in line with quality and target date deliverables, driving overall program integrity.
• You will have clear, precise, and regular communication with all stakeholders, including ongoing project and program status and progress.
• You will set up the structure and processes required for carrier procurement including carrier selection and tender creation.
• You will set up key procurement KPIs to measure, monitor and improve program metrics across attainment, contracts lifecycle management, capacity utilization, sourcing demand, sourcing success, carrier performance, and cost.

A day in the life

A typical day in the life of a Sr. Procurement Manager will include, working alongside our Carrier Managers across Europe to source capacity with high performing carriers at best in market rates, working with our Program Managers to bring new initiatives to life to deliver additional value, and working with our Product Managers to drive the tech required to source more effectively.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field
• Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing
• Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
• Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently
• Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making, or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
