A leading global pharmaceutical company in Madrid is seeking a Sr. Manager Global Logistics Transformation. The role involves managing logistics transformation initiatives, governing metrics, and overseeing AI adoption. Candidates should have 8+ years in consulting or logistics with strong program management experience. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. The position allows for hybrid work, requiring on-site presence at least 2.5 days a week.
Global Logistics & Network Services (GLNS) - part of Pfizer Global Supply Chain (GSC) – is accountable for the global movement of Pfizer goods from more than 300 export nodes, servicing multiple supply chain archetypes to over 180 countries. GLNS designs & executes a Global Logistics Strategy that serves the needs of our customers, patients & stakeholders.
The Sr. Manager Global Logistics Transformation is accountable for driving the logistics transformation within Global Logistics & Network Services (GLNS), in line with our GLNS strategic blueprint and GSC NexGen strategy.
This is an individual contributor role and the incumbent will report to Director, Global Logistics & Network Services -Digital & Capabilities Lead.
Working very closely with Pfizer Digital, GLNS Digital Governance team, GLNS analytics team, GLNS Process excellence team & external partners, he/she is responsible for
The incumbent will be expected to Lead / Co-lead / contribute in multiple “must not fail” transformation initiatives, in sync with GSC and GLNS blueprint. This might involve managing cross functional project teams of various sizes and structures, as well as projects of different complexities and durations. The incumbent will need to anticipate and mitigate change management gaps, connecting people, process and technology during major deployments.
The incumbent will be expected to govern and harmonize metrics, across various tiers of the GLNS organization. Eliminating duplication and helping build a performance‑driven organisation, he/she will also be expected to understand evolving business priorities, system landscape and requirement of new metrics, working closely with GLNS analytics team for deployment.
The incumbent will be expected to govern AI (Gen AI / Agentic AI, Machine Learning) adoption and value realization across GLNS, reporting up to the GSC NexGen transformation program. He/she will also be expected to benchmark externally (with peers, industry experts) to ensure Pfizer Global Logistics stays ahead on the AI trend and adoption, while creating meaningful value for business. The incumbent will be expected to drive the development of MVP (Minimum viable product) on AI use cases.
The incumbent will be expected to understand and mitigate associated risks with the current system landscape (inclusive of SaaS vendors), while pushing for system convergence and harmonization.
The incumbent will be expected to facilitate and govern the GLNS Digital & capabilities Tier 3 blueprint, tracking the value realization across the full scope of GLNS Digital & Process Transformation. The value realization can span across cost, productivity, service, working capital, compliance and sustainability.
Periodic international travel might be required – estimated c. 10-15 % of role.
Travel to consist of Project team meetings / Workshops, External conferences / benchmarking forums.
Flexible role, in a Pfizer office location at least 2.5 days per week.
