Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, month-end close, variance analysis, and delivering management reporting to Group Finance while coordinating with HR and local finance teams.

Formación

• Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 5+ years in audit or controlling roles.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/BI tooling proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Build, structure and manage international financial reporting per IFRS.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure timely month-end close and variance analysis vs budget/forecast.
• Deliver structured management reporting to Group Finance.
• Support ERP implementations and data quality improvements.
• Coordinate with Local CFO, Accounting and HR, aligning with Group deadlines.

Morgan Philips is currently recruiting a Sr. Financial Business Controller in Spain for a leading company in the real estate sector.

Role Purpose:

The Finance Controller will be responsible for building, structuring, and managing the financial reporting framework of an international business perimeter, ensuring full alignment with Group standards (IFRS) and supporting the implementation of new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing
• Perform variance analysis vs budget, forecast, and prior periods
• Deliver structured management reporting to Group Finance

IFRS & Accounting Alignment:

• Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS standards and Group accounting policies
• Manage the bridge between Local GAAP and IFRS reporting
• Support implementation of key standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 9)
• Liaise with auditors

Planning, Forecasting & Performance:

• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes (Budget, 3+9, reforecasts)
• Monitor key KPIs (Revenue, Contribution Margin, Gross Margin, EBITDA, Net Debt)
• Support performance analysis
• Monitor personnel costs and ensure consistency between HR and finance data
• Support headcount planning and budgeting
• Reconcile HR data with accounting data
• Improve visibility of personnel cost evolution

Systems & Process Improvement:

• Support ERP and reporting tools implementation
• Improve data quality and automation

Coordination:

• Work with Local CFO, Accounting, HR, and Group Finance
• Ensure alignment with Group deadlines
• Act as a key reference point for financial reporting within the assigned business perimeter

Profile & Requirements:

Education:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience:

• 5+ years in audit or controlling roles
• Strong IFRS experience

Skills:

• IFRS / IAS knowledge
• Financial reporting and consolidation
• Personnel cost controlling is a plus
• Advanced Excel, BI tools and ERP knowledge
