Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HR professional based in Spain to join us as an Independent Contractor . This role supports Sailglobal’s HR and compliance operations in Spain, focusing on employment lifecycle management, statutory payroll, benefits compliance, and communication with local authorities and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the local HR operations point of contact for Sailglobal’s EOR and payroll clients in Spain.
  • Advise on Spain employment law, social security, and payroll compliance (e.g., Seguridad Social, IRPF, SEPE, etc.).
  • Coordinate with local payroll vendors for monthly payroll processing and statutory submissions.
  • Review and localize employment contracts, offer letters, and offboarding documents in line with Spanish labor law.
  • Support HR onboarding, probation confirmation, and termination cases for Spain-based employees and contractors.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and provide compliance alerts or best-practice advice.
  • Act as liaison between Sailglobal’s internal HR / finance teams and external clients or government agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Labor Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR operations or compliance in Spain.
  • Prior experience in an HR service provider or EOR firm is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Spain labor law, tax, and social security systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish; ability to work cross-functionally and independently.
  • Experience managing client relationships or handling multi-company HR portfolios is preferred.
