Job summary

Bondora is seeking a Credit Manager for Spain to own underwriting strategy, monitor risk, and drive responsible lending outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn portfolio data into decisions that protect profitability and compliance.

The role requires strong credit risk expertise, advanced Excel/SQL skills, and the ability to influence leadership across departments. Location preference includes Madrid or Latvia, with a path to expand Bondora’s lending in Spain.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of consumer credit risk management and underwriting strategies.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills are essential.
• Spanish consumer credit experience with familiar data sources (ASNEF/Equifax, Experian, CIRBE) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand Bondora’s lending product, underwriting flow, and country objectives using data and feedback.
• Monitor and explain credit performance with dashboards and reports; identify deviations and propose actions.
• Evaluate profitability and data value using cash-flow and lifetime-value models for decisions.
