OKAPI:Orbits is seeking a skilled aerospace data scientist to advance space situational awareness. You will join a multidisciplinary team and develop high‑fidelity orbit propagation and sensor fusion algorithms, enhancing orbital risk assessment for satellite operators.

Formación

• M.Sc. or higher in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience; exceptional candidates with 3+ years considered.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of astrodynamics and orbital mechanics.
• Proficiency in Java, Fortran 90+, or Python.
• Valid working permit for Spain/EU.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate and optimize third-party sensor data in our SSA platform.
• Onboard third-party data sources by partnering with providers.
• Develop and optimize high-precision orbit propagation, OD, sensor fusion, covariance modelling.
• Fuse diverse data sources into a unified space debris image.
• Conduct V&V campaigns to benchmark algorithms against ground truth datasets.
• Collab with software engineers to scale prototypes into production-ready solutions.
